Expected Outcomes: Potential activities and products resulting from the workshop include:

• An inventory of organizations, representatives, research projects, products, etc. relevant to the decision support based on Earth observations;
• A roadmap for improving coastal monitoring capabilities along the southern coasts of Mediterranean, with the goal to strengthen support for decisions related to integrated coastal zone management and the Barcelona Convention;
• A resolution referring to this roadmap to be endorsed by the relevant national agencies;
• A draft work plan for a pilot project as first element in the implementation of the roadmap.
