The CZCP Regional Workshop in West Africa is integrated into a broader Workshop jointly organized by UNESCO-IOC-GOOS-Africa-IHP, AARSE, GEO, and the Coastal Zone Community of Practice. The program of Sub-Theme 1 of the Workshop is organized by the CZCP.


Participation: A key intent of the workshop was to bring together scientists and practitioners from across Africa to build synergy and linkages to further strengthen existing programs and initiate new partnerships to enhance coastal zone research capacity and coastal resource management. The Workshop was open to all interested scientists and practitioners. Interested persons with relations to the workshop scope and objectives were asked to down-load the Expression of Interest Document, complete it, and send it by e-mail to Jimmy Adegoke and Hans-Peter Plag. Those who had already decided that they would like to participate were invited to down-load the Registration Document, complete it, and send it to Jimmy Adegoke and Hans-Peter Plag. For those who had access to a browser set up to send e-mails on-line Expression of Interest Form and Registration Form had been made available.
