Outcome of the Workshop: The outcomes of the workshop include a number of documents and activities:
- Recommendations: The workshop participants agreed upon recommendations, which are available as pdf, doc, and html.
- Workshop Report: A workshop report is currently being compiled based on input from all Workshop participants. The report is still open for additional input from participants.
- GEO Newsletter Article: A brief report has been submitted for publication in the GEO Newsletter. read the article ...
- Caribbean CZCP Webpage: An initial web page has been set up for information exchange between regional user groups and providers, and for the development of pilot projects. The page is initially available at http://www.czcp.org/regions/caribbean.
- Presentations on GEOSS: At meetings of regional stakeholder groups, particularly the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), presentations introducing GEOSS and its services will be given. The first presentation will be at the 12th Annual Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development, April 3, 2011, Bermudas. The presentation, which will be given by Francesco Gaetani, GEO Secretariat, is titled “The Disasters Societal Benefit Area within GEOSS: a global, coordinated, comprehensive and sustained system of observing systems.”
A number of other outcomes are currently being developed and will be included here as they become available.
